Once you have your Taho browser extension installed, open it up and follow these instructions after clicking through the Welcome tabs.

Step 1: On the “Add accounts” tab, click “Create new wallet.”

Step 2: Set a “signing password” that you will use to lock/unlock your ability to sign transactions. When locked, you will still be able to see your wallet but you’ll be prompted to enter your password if you try to initiate a transaction.

Step 3, IMPORTANT: After you set your signing password, you will be given a “secret recovery phrase,” made up of 24 randomly generated words. You must write down this phrase! If you lose your secret recovery phrase, you will lose access to your wallet and the funds inside it. 👉

<aside> 📍 Taho does not have access to your wallet. Only you know your secret recovery phrase, so it’s important to write it down. Your wallet is entirely self-owned. If you want to take it to another app, you can choose to do so at any time.

Remember: not your keys, not your crypto.

Step 4: Once you wrote down your phrase, navigate to the next tab and verify.

Step 5: Congratulations! You now have a new wallet.

<aside> ℹ️ At this stage, we strongly encourage you set Taho as your default wallet. Simply click the toggle at the top of your wallet page. You can always change this later in Settings.
